In a recent study, 80% of American workers surveyed said their lives were out of balance. In another study, 50% of middle managers said they would take up to a 5% cut in pay to achieve greater work/life balance. As one woman said, “I’m always the last priority in my life.”

Sharon Barnes, MSSW, LCSW knows many of these life issues both professionally and personally. She has over twenty five years experience helping people cope with change, loss and life transitions. In addition, a few years ago, she experienced medical problems that took her to her knees. One day she realized that she had spent many years helping others cope with illness—there should be something she could pull from her experience to help herself cope and heal.

She used "Creative Handwork™", a body-mind technique that she first taught in 1998. Creative Handwork™ involves (among other things) making things with one’s hands while mentally transferring the pain– physical or emotional–from inside oneself to whatever one is making. She has since taken it to the next level, developing it into Contemplative Handwork™, a tool of self- and professional- development and much more. She will share these techniques, along with other tips, and tools. She will also ask others to share their tales of transformation, too.

Mrs. Barnes will also bring in guests to share information from related fields of expertise,
such as:
   •   How to Unlock the Goldmine in Your Checkbook-/Top Ten Ways to Create Magic With Your Money.
   •   Mental Stability Through Balancing Your Amino Acids
   •   Write From the Inside- Dig for Treasures, Discover Yourself, Leave a Legacy.

People can participate in the free LunchCraft™ Tele-classes by signing up at www.LunchCraft.com. The full menu of classes is there, along with links to sign up. All Tele-classes will be recorded, and these recordings will be available for purchase on this website.

Sharon M. Barnes, MSSW, LCSW is an innovator. In 1998, she introduced her unique counseling group, “The Quilter’s Journey”, which combines Creative Handwork™ with interaction. She is author and presenter of the newly released audio seminar, “Life’s a Bicycle: Dynamic, Creative Life Balance—How to Balance Your Life Like You Balance a Bike.” She is founder of The Academy of Creative Living which offers presentations, classes, workshops and consultation to help people heal, thrive and achieve, creatively. Mrs. Barnes is a leader in her field. She is a past board member of the Colorado Society for Clinical Social Work, Denver Chapter.
