Intelligence Screens at the 2006 LA Latino International Film Festival at the Egyptian Theater - Hollywood and Stars Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes, Rocky Balboa)

Award-winning film Intelligence wins best drama at Libertas Film Festival - Croatia. The film touches upon the Guantanamo Detainee Situation.

(PRWEB) October 2, 2006 -- As current events put heat on Bush administration for Guantanamo Bay, the award-winning film "Intelligence" resonates a strong point of view by shedding light on past "un-accounted" political decisions that seem to be repeating today. Milo Ventimiglia stars.

Synopsis: In present day Miami, Collin Mathers played by Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls, Bedford Diaries, Heroes, Rocky Balboa), follows a hot lead to tie up his feature story and reveal new graphic details found behind closed doors in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His lead is an elderly man (Bill Bolender) with the story of a lifetime who has much more "intelligence" than Collin could have ever imagined.

Milo Ventimiglia carries the role of the ambitious, young reporter Collin Mather. Supported by the experienced and talented Bill Bolender, this feature captivates, taking you to a dark, complex place that most films never get to. Director Allen Martinez’s vision, along with the team of stars he selected, gives this film a strong yet provocative story that exposes a dark corner of American politics.

Award-winning director, Allen Martinez has already been hired to direct a feature film for early 2007 and speaks of the experience on Intelligence: "I found the background of this politically-charged story fascinating, since it is based on true historical events. Many people don’t realize that the U.S. Secret Service (O.S.S.) hired Nazi war criminals to monitor the Russians in post war Germany and Congress has only just begun to review a fraction of nearly 8 million de-classified documents from over 60 years ago... It shines a light on issues that are, unfortunately, still relevant today" says filmmaker Martinez.

Intelligence wins BEST DRAMA at Libertas Film Festival Croatia in September.

The film screens this week at LA Latino International Film Festival October 6th and 13th at the Egyptian Theater.

The film is planning to be released in early 2007, via digital distribution on the internet and the filmmaker is relying on the film's fans to support it's grass-roots campaign on Myspace and YouTube and help expose the film virally.
