New Chatham-Based Business Allows Clients To Buy Back Leisure Time

Outsourcing your “to-do” list to free up leisure time or family time is now easier than ever for Chatham-area residents with the arrival of Errands, etc. This new company, started and run by Chatham resident Barbara Koscs, provides a wide array of personal and concierge services, from running simple errands to researching home and automobile maintenance and repair vendors and arranging their services.

Chatham, NJ (PRWEB) October 3, 2006 -- Outsourcing your “to-do” list to free up leisure time or family time is now easier than ever for Chatham-area residents with the arrival of Errands, etc. This new company, started and run by Chatham resident Barbara Koscs, provides a wide array of personal and concierge services, from running simple errands to researching home and automobile maintenance and repair vendors and arranging their services. Koscs offers over 15 years of experience in organizing, problem solving, multi-tasking, marketing, and customer service.

“People are working harder and longer, and as a result, it’s more difficult to enjoy leisure time,” said Koscs. “Errands, etc., essentially allows people to buy that time back by having us handle all those everyday tasks that always seem to take longer than you expect.”

Koscs speaks from experience. She worked for nearly 10 years in Manhattan as a vice president for a data research provider. The job proved rewarding in most areas except one – time. “I didn’t have the kind of time I wanted to spend with my family, and I realized there are so many more people in the same situation,” Koscs said. “With Errands, etc., I can help others gain leisure time while helping myself do the same by working closer to home.”

Errands, etc. is available to provide just about any service one would need to do in managing a household, whether it is a single person with a small condo or working parents with a large house. Koscs adds, “With the holidays approaching, there are many things people may need help with, including addressing holiday cards, shopping and gift wrapping Errands, etc. can do all of that, and more. Just hand us your to-do list and we’ll get it done.” Some of the other services Errands, etc. provides include:

  • Concierge services, including travel arrangements and event ticket pick-up and delivery
  • Home waiting, home watching and mail pick-up
  • Internet research
  • Invitations and thank-you notes
  • Organizing just about anything – from client’s desk top to home closets or a family reunion
  • Package/document pickup and delivery
  • Reminder services
  • Pick up and drop off of dry cleaning, prescriptions and other items
  • Small party planning, holiday party planning

Hourly rates are reasonable, and gift certificates are also available. “You can now give someone the gift of time,” said Koscs. These may be especially helpful for new moms or the elderly and homebound.

End of the “Four-Hour Window”
One of the most needed services may just be “home waiting” – hiring someone to wait for a repairman, utilities, cable hook-up, delivery, a new service connection or appliance installation. “These services typically often give you a four-hour window, and that is just too inconvenient for many people,” said Koscs. “Errands, etc. can wait for a vendor in your home and perform other tasks at the same time to give you the best value.”

Business Support Services
With her depth of business experience, Koscs is also uniquely qualified to assist local businesses and professionals with office management and organization tasks. In addition, Errands, etc. can offer delivery for businesses that do not offer this service, or supplement existing delivery services during seasonal and busier time periods.

“Large businesses used to hire gal- and guy-Fridays,” said Koscs. “Now, many households and smaller businesses need such a person. In the Chatham area, Errands, etc. is the one to call.”
