Putting Digital Signage on the MAAP

Artisan Live expands the impact of digital signage with the Mobile Affiliate Advertising Program (MAAP).

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) October 6, 2006 -- With the explosive growth of video-capable mobile phones, MP3 players and retail-level displays, the traditional television network has broken beyond the traditional TV screen. For marketers, this "digital signage" market has created powerful new ways to reach consumers and build brands at the point of purchase.

Digital signage pioneer Artisan Live has long seen the possibilities of the new network, delivering full service production and publishing services to corporate leaders including Nissan and Molson. Today, Artisan Live introduced a streamlined approach to populating screens with the introduction of the Mobile Affiliate Advertising Program (MAAP).

"Artisan Live is proud to announce MAAP, the first affiliate marketing program for the digital signage industry," explained Marketing Manager, Kris Matheson. "MAAP serves as a marketplace for digital signage network owners and advertisers to fill signage and mobile phones with relevant, high impact content that moves the consumer." said Matheson.

With MAAP, advertisers make content available to leading retail, out-of-home and place-based digital signage network publishers. Campaigns are measured by consumer interaction via mobile phone text messages. Network publishers receive a commission for the interaction. In essence, MAAP helps technology make marketing accountable.

"The affiliate approach is a model that's been very successful for the likes of Google™ and Ask.com™," said Artisan Live New Media Development, Raji Kalra. "Everybody wins. Network publishers receive content that drives viewership and advertisers make the last three feet of their marketing plan highly actionable. MAAP facilitates the whole process with tools that are easy to access and use."

By building a system focused on measurable advertising results, Artisan Live taps the emotional and interactive power of digital signage and mobile networks, fueling a move towards critical mass. That possibility is already attracting top tier partners, including MyThum Interactive, Canada's leading mobile media company.

"MAAP's fusion of digital signage and mobile technology creates an essential pillar in any company's marketing plans," explained Matheson. "MAAP is a new benchmark in advertising and promotion."
