Mingle among the Spirited Irish at a Pre-Halloween Wine Tasting Hosted by Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro October 26

Mrs. Murphy’s second wine tasting event features domestic and European wine delights.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 5, 2006 -- With Halloween just around the corner, Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro, (3905 N. Lincoln Ave., 773-248-3905), is hosting a “spirited” wine tasting 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. October 26. This perfect welcome to autumn will showcase four different red wines and four different white wines, complemented by a selection of hors d’oeuvres, cheese platters and dessert trays. The fee of $25 includes all wine, hors d’oeuvres and parking. Reservations are recommended by calling 773-248-3905 and walk-ins are welcome.

The wines selected for tasting include four red wines and four white wines. Featured red wines are: Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir, Dundee Hill Oregon 2003, Belleruche Chapoutier Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2003, Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa 2001 and Livio Felluga Merlot, Italy 2002. Featured white wines are: Sokol Blosser Evolution #9, Dundee Hills Oregon NV, Belleruche Chapoutier Cotes-Du-Rhone Blanc, France 2003, Chateau Souverain Chardonnay, Sonoma 2004, and Ca’ Bianc Gavi, Italy 2003.

The two level Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro is located at 3905 N. Lincoln Avenue. The restaurant boasts contemporary Irish cuisine, an extensive wine and beer list, and accommodations for private parties and events. The restaurant is open for dinner every day except Monday. Dinner hours are: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The bar is open 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday; and 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. A delicious brunch/lunch menu is served 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
