SMARTBOX, a leader in providing portable storage and moving solutions to commercial and residential customers has sold its latest franchise to service the Baltimore, Maryland metropolitan area. The new franchise owners, Charley MacKenzie and Matthew Bowry, of MackKenzie Equity Partners,LLC, expect the new venture to be operational by mid-November 2006.

SMARTBOX enables users to pack and load their belongings – from holiday decorations and extra furniture at home to important documents and seasonal inventory at work – at their convenience in containers that are 8 feet long, 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide and can hold the contents of up to 1½ rooms (3,000 pound capacity).

When they’ve finished packing their Smartboxes, they can call SMARTBOX to pick them up and deliver them for storage in one of its secure warehouses or for moving to another location through its SMARTCARE service. Some users also store their Smartboxes at their existing site.

SMARTBOX will begin service in Baltimore by mid November 2006, from its location at 6650 Business Parkway, Suite B, Elkridge, MD 21227.
