http://www.webaward.org - The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the University named Best of Industry Winner for the 10th annual international WebAward Competition, the Internet’s premier Web site award competition.
Higher Education websites represent a unique category in the WebAward competition. University sites have to be at the top of website design, technology and ease of use in order to attract prospective students to their institution.
“Web sites play an extremely important role within universities,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Not only do they have to attract potential students but they also have to satisfy the faculty, staff and incredibly Internet savvy student body.”
University websites entered in the WebAward competition are judged on the following seven criteria:
- Copy writing
- Ease of use
The overarching goal of the WebAward Competition is to provide a forum to recognize those people and organizations that develop and maintain the top website designs in the field of higher education.

The 2006 Best of Show WebAward was presented to New York-based Big Spaceship (http://www.bigspaceship.com), for its outstanding work on the "TBS: Department of Humor Analysis" web site at http://www.tbshumorstudy.com. Big Spaceship joined forces with Mother Interactive to turn their very silly questionnaire into an addictive, fully interactive web site.
