Apogee's Regional Awards are provided to gifted performing artists from designated geopolitical regions in order to promote local arts training and to offer high potential candidates opportunities for international support and recognition. Vosalevsky was among the most promising young artists invited to participate in the festival based on the rigorous audition process as well as his past record of achievements, but he unfortunately was unable to take part due to his inability to obtain an exit visa from the government of Belarus.
