ITtoolbox Blogs Community Achieves 300% Annual Growth

Readership increase and new authors in community blogging program extend advertising opportunities for IT marketers.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 5, 2006 -- ITtoolbox, the online community enabling professional IT knowledge sharing, announces today that unique visitors to its three-year-old blogging community has grown by more than 300% in the third quarter of 2006 compared to the same period in the prior year. This growth complements the launch of more than 136 new authors throughout the past year, as well as a new advertising program that helps IT marketers reach their target audience through the blogs program.

Lewis Cunningham, a database architect who writes a community blog titled "An Expert's Guide to Oracle Technology," is one author among the more than 200 executives, industry speakers, and IT gurus who regularly blog at ITtoolbox. "I started blogging because I was interested in sharing my knowledge. On a daily basis I have IT professionals from a myriad of industries posting comments and asking questions that make me try things out before I can formulate an answer," commented Cunningham. This quarter also marks the launch of blogcasting at ITtoolbox, a new advertising program that offers IT marketers the opportunity to reach ITtoolbox Blogs community. This blend of podcasting and blogging features a popular author from the ITtoolbox Blogs program who serves as a subject matter expert on a topic relevant to the IT advertiser’s online marketing goals. To listen to blogcasts, IT community members are required to provide detailed lead generation information, which is qualified and submitted to the advertiser.
