Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) October 10, 2006
The American Diabetes Association of Western New York appointed Kenneth Potts as the 2007 Buffalo Tour de Cure Chairman. Potts is senior vice president of global transaction services at Citigroup, where he manages the North America Operations Accounting Division. In 2006, the Buffalo Tour de Cure cycling event raised over $360,000 with 1,160 riders. The goal for 2007 is to exceed $400,000.
Since Tour de Cure's beginning in 1991, thousands of individual riders and teams have participated to support the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Riders can make a difference in the lives of the 20.8 million Americans suffering from diabetes by joining thousands of cyclists around the nation who are riding in Tour de Cure.
Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events held in more than 80 cities nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Riders travel routes supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel their journeys, with fans to cheer them on!
