Melbourne, Fla. (PRWEB) October 6, 2006
An award-winning advertising agency, CK Communications (CKC), has been named a recipient of a Gold award by Create Magazine. A lanyard design created by CKC was recognized as a winning collateral piece.
More than 100,000 people from 141 countries attended the world’s largest electronic show this year, but only a select few wore the promotional piece selected by Create to win a Gold award. Companies attending trade shows struggle to stand out from the crowds and attract attention to their booths. This year with the design help of CK Communications, Roland Corporation used convention attendees as marketing tools.
Roland’s commercial division held a special event in their booth. Invited guests were required to wear the award-winning lanyard around the National Association of Broadcasters trade show for two days before gaining access to the party.
A lanyard is a cord or strap that is worn around the neck to hold an identification badge, whistle, keys or other small object. Lanyards can also be used as an advertising tool with a customized logo or name printed on the strap. The strap-type lanyard used for this event had Roland’s logo imprinted on it along with a clever design created by CKC.
“We created extensive collateral and advertising support for this huge event, but we knew the lanyard would be worn by all attendees and felt that was the most effective 'stand out' opportunity,” said Craig Kempf, creative director and CEO of CK Communications. “The lanyard created an intense buzz almost immediately. Within an hour, there were hundreds of attendees approaching Roland’s booth requesting the colorful item.”
