Fountain Valley, CA (PRWEB) October 6, 2006
powerTV Media today announced that http://www.streetlegalTV.com - home of the NMCA’s Street Legal TV show, will be re-launching as a fully enabled video sharing website using the powerTV media network in early November 2006.
Street Legal TV is the premier broadband television channel for street/strip, street-legal drag racing. Street Legal TV is the official TV channel of the NMCA-Edelbrock Fastest Street Car Shootout, and also covers PSCA, Outlaw 10.5, Orlando, and other street-legal style events. Street Legal TV has been watched by over 150,000 unique visitors since it’s launch in March 2006.
A major announcement for Street Legal TV is that viewers and racers will be able to upload their own videos to http://www.streetlegaltv.com starting in November, just like popular video sharing websites Youtube.com and Google video. However, unlike Youtube, these videos will be broadcast from the powerTV motorsport network, a video network dedicated exclusively to like-minded automotive enthusiasts.
“Our goal with powerTV is to build the largest and highest quality online enthusiast video sharing network in the world,” said James Lawrence, powerTV CEO. “If you are an automotive, truck, motorcycle, or marine enthusiast—you will be hanging out on the powerTV media network, or on affiliate powerTV channels, not on Youtube. Street Legal TV is a great addition to the powerTV network and will satisfy all NMCA, NMRA, NHRA, and IHRA drag racing enthusiasts craving for street/strip drag racing video content.”
powerTV's technology will allow Street Legal TV to broadcast both professionally produced featured video, as well as user-generated and uploaded video. Other online communities or companies interested in participating in the beta launch of the powerTV video network can e-mail for more information.
