Information Technology Group, Inc. Acquires Xcelerate LLC. Combined Company will Operate as Arxis Technology, Inc.

Information Technology Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Xcelerate LLC -- a Chicago-based reseller of Sage Accpac ERP and Sage CRM software. The combined firm will now operate as Arxis Technology, Inc. and will serve over 450 clients in four major markets.

The newly combined entity gives Xcelerate LLC (now Arxis -- Chicago) the ability to immediately expand their service offerings and increase the consulting resources available to their clients. It provides the team at ITG (now Arxis -- Los Angeles and Orange County) a formal presence in the strategic Chicago and Phoenix markets, and enhances their ability to serve large, national accounts.

Jean Sheridan, long-time Sage Accpac Consultant and Project Manager for ITG, will assume the position as Director of the Chicago practice for Arxis. A native of Chicago, Jean considers her return to the Windy City “a unique privilege and wonderful opportunity.” As a part of the transition, Jan Goodman, Founder and Principal of Xcelerate, will officially relocate to Scottsdale, AZ, and build the Phoenix practice.

What’s in a Name?

The combined resources and potential of the combined organization along with a national presence and reach precipitated the need for a new name going forward – Arxis Technology, Inc.

Bob Gaby, CPA and Arxis Principal explained how the name was selected. “With its root as the Latin word ‘arx,’ -- meaning ‘citadel or fortress’ -- Arxis was seen as representing strength, security, longevity, and trustworthiness.” Gaby explained. “As such, we feel it communicates our firm’s core values of unwavering integrity, proven expertise, and long-term relationships,” he added. Additionally, the name Arxis enables current and future clients to more easily identify and understand the services available from the firm’s sister accounting and financial planning entities -- Arxis Financial, Inc. and Arxis Wealth Management, LLC respectively.
