Web Marketing Association Names Best Art Industry Website During 2006 WebAward Competition

Best Web sites announced in 10th annual WebAward Competition covering 96 industries including Arts and Theatre.

West Simsbury, CT (PRWEB) October 6, 2006 -- The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the Best Art Industry Winner for the tenth annual international WebAward Competition, the premier Internet award competition.

The Arts industry represents a unique and diverse category among the 96 industries judged in the WebAward competition.

“Art websites are as unique as the art forms they represent and relish in wonderful designs and content,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Judging feedback included the need for Art websites to strive to incorporate technology and interactive mediums into their designs.”

Art websites entered in the WebAward competition are judged on the following seven criteria:

  • Design
  • Innovation
  • Content
  • Technology
  • Interactivity
  • Copy writing
  • Ease of use

The overarching goal of the WebAward Competition is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing the most effective art websites on the Net today.
