VirtualAgility Names Andy MacDonald of the Army’s Natick Solider System Center to Head Government Services

VirtualAgility is expanding its professional services team with the addition of LTC Andy MacDonald, recently retired from the Natick Soldier System Center in Natick, MA where he held various positions focused on improving global support and logistics systems for the Army.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 -- Andy MacDonald, LTC, U.S. Army (ret.), has joined VirtualAgility as VP Government Services. MacDonald, recently chief of staff at the Natick Soldier System Center, will bring an extensive knowledge of military infrastructure, product development and federal procurement processes to customizing VirtualAgility’s WorkCenter for the U.S. Government.

Specifically, MacDonald will focus on projects with Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security, and Law Enforcement organizations.

According to VirtualAgility president Stuart Rudolph: “Andy MacDonald’s career has been all about improving the effectiveness of support systems. What better preparation for deploying and customizing WorkCenter in military environments?”

Federal agencies are now deploying WorkCenter for faster, more effective planning, information sharing and collaboration. Browser-based WorkCenter is unparalleled for giving case managers the means to link participants, data sources, procedures and tools into a single ad hoc network—despite existing IT systems and organizational boundaries

“William Crowell, former Deputy Director, NSA has said ‘VirtualAgility is the information sharing technology the government needs.’” Rudolph continued, “And Andy MacDonald is exactly the man VA needs. His past experience, knowledge and management skill will make him indispensable to government clients.”

MacDonald has seen the need for WorkCenter firsthand. “No scenario is unlikely anymore. Which makes planning an almost overwhelming challenge. Next there’s the problem of getting the right resources to the right people fast, coordinating action across organizational lines, monitoring outcomes and changing plans if necessary—all on the fly. Only WorkCenter has the power and simplicity to make this possible—without scrapping existing systems or retraining. It’s a solution that nobody thinks is possible—until they see it.”

About VirtualAgility
VirtualAgility continues to apply its robust line of WorkCenter solutions to the needs for improved situational awareness and coordination within and among agencies to organize, plan and track mitigation, preparation, response and recovery activities. To achieve the next level of virtual agility, collaboration and information sharing, VirtualAgility can be laid over existing “stovepipe” solutions without disrupting day-to-day operations. VirtualAgility WorkCenter delivers easy- to-use, quick-to-install solutions for creating interoperability and business continuity in government and industry.
