Beacon Street Girl Charlotte is returning to Paris to visit her best Parisian friend Sophie in the first BSG Adventure book and she’s taking thousands of preteen girls along on an exciting trip. Charlotte in Paris describes Charlotte’s adventures and what happens when a stolen Picasso sketch ends up in her messenger bag. And, for the first time, readers will be able to purchase that bag. B*tween Productions, home of the Beacon Street Girls, has designed its Fall product line to support the new book.

The Charlotte in Paris products for girls are designed in Charlotte’s signature purple with Parisian motifs, including the Eiffel tower and fun French phrases (translations available on the Beacon Street Girls website http://www.beaconstreetgirls.com). The Charlotte in Paris line consists of Charlotte’s messenger bag (shown on the cover of the book), the Perfectly Paris Pillow and Perfectly Paris Clutch, Ooh La La! Paris Stationery Set, and the “Bon Voyage” Barrel Bag and Purple Mini Backpack. All the products are available online at http://www.bsgshop.com and through several hundred independent retailers.

”The Beacon Street Girls Adventure books focus on an experience, in this case travel,” said Addie Swartz, the principal creator of the Beacon Street Girls, CEO of B*tween Productions and the mother of two tween girls. “The new product line allows us to extend the values of the brand into real life, giving us the chance to reinforce the positive messages with products."

Swartz continued, “BSG products are one way that we can get kids excited about reading and literacy. Some girls will find the books on their own but others will learn about our books through the products we sell. The fashion-forward products help keep our brand cool, hip and trendy.”

The Beacon Street Girls are five plucky twelve-year-olds whose adventures have been chronicled in an award-winning book series for preteen girls (http://www.beaconstreetgirls.com/books) Girls love to read about the characters who are “just like me” and parents are thrilled to see their daughters reading the books which help to promote healthy role models and build self-esteem. There are approximately 400,000 Classic Beacon Street Girls books in print.

The new BSG Adventure Series will feature each one of the Beacon Street Girls in turn, allowing preteen fans to find out even more about Avery, Charlotte, Isabel, Katani and Maeve. Each Adventure will be accompanied by a set of related products.
