2XL will check into Habbo on Thursday, October 12th at 4PM PST/ 7PM EST. During the visit, the artists will hang out with fans on the Teen People Terrace and answer questions about their highly anticipated debut album, “Neighborhood Rapstar”. Inspired by tragedy and heartbreak that has defined their childhood, superstar rap duo, Bennett “Laze” and Justin “Royal” Talmage Armstrong of 2XL, are releasing their debut album, “Neighborhood Rapstar,” in stores January 2007.
Featuring an all-star line up of collaborations with other young emerging artists (Cherish, Ak’sent, and Na’Shay) “Neighborhood Rapstar” is the story of two brothers who overcame adversity and used their common love for music to bring their fans a sonically powered album that showcases their songwriting and production capabilities. Receiving tremendous amount of airplay for the first single, “Kissing Game,” in major markets such as Houston, Detroit, Minneapolis and California, the duo has recently introduced the first official and self-produced single, “Kitty Kat” featuring E-40 to radio. E-40 is also featured on the unique sounding track produced by Mr. DJ, “Hustle’s Gone.” On the somber “The Chapters”, 2XL chronicles their tumultuous lives over a chilling piano and drum-driven beat, while “Mama Of Mine” is a tribute to their mother who was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1996.
