Local CPAs Earn 'Personal Financial Specialist' Credential.

Mahoney Sabol & Company is proud to announce that Managing Partner James Mahoney, CPA and Partner Kenneth A. Kron, CPA have each been awarded the coveted Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The PFS credential, established in 1987, recognizes CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial planning. “Attaining this credential

distinguishes us as two of the foremost providers of personal financial planning in Connecticut,” Mahoney said.

To earn the PFS credential, Mahoney and Kron both completed more than 1,000 hours of business experience during the past 5-years and more than 75-hours of life-long learning activities.

“Supplementing our status as CPAs with the PFS credential demonstrates our commitment to providing clients the highest level of financial planning services,” Kron said. “Our job is to help sort through complex financial decisions and develop sound strategies for a secure financial future.”

According to Laurence Foster, Chairman of the AICPA’s PFS Credential Committee, “Given their formal education and technical training in the areas of accountancy, taxation, and general business, CPAs are the most qualified, knowledgeable, and objective financial planning professionals.”
