Wendy Patience, procurement manager at Adobe Systems will discuss how to ensure independent contractor compliance. Tom Barrett, global strategic sourcing director, American Standard Companies will teach attendees how to implement and maintain supplier consolidation, based on his experience within his organization. Lori Mindrup, director, contingent workforce at First Data Corporation will talk about how First Data evaluated and selected a vendor management system (VMS) tool, and how it assembled an implementation team and to ensure that the program had support from both the executive team and the program’s users.

Brenda Rodriguez, global services manager for Intuit, Inc. will discuss how Intuit took on the challenge of transitioning a failing VMS program into a successful one. Daniel Hanyzewski, director of global staffing for Nike will share how Nike developed an integrated plan for managing its global total workforce, integrating traditional, direct hire employees as well as its contingent workforce comprising temporary employees and independent contractors worldwide. And, Robert Cooney, senior global commodity manager, Sun Microsystems will discuss how the company drives cost savings, manages contingent workforce risks, executes on executive management initiatives and drives manager participation in a decentralized environment and how it evaluates its strategies. Paul Moore, diversity and staffing director at Xcel Energy will cover how to maximize contract labor to optimize business results.
