Books24x7 - a subsidiary of SkillSoft, the online learning provider - is launching a free podcast series featuring the views and insights of leading publishers. The podcasts allow busy professionals to hear directly from trusted thought leaders as they give their perspectives on business issues and publishing trends.

Publishers taking part include: David Berke, from the Centre for Creative Leadership, who discusses strategies for effective succession planning; Joe Wikert of John Wiley & Sons, who gives his views on bridging the print and electronic worlds of books and blogs; and David Pallai, president and founder of Infinity Science Press, who explores how changes in technical education can meet the challenges facing the next generation of executives.

“The Publisher 1-on-1 podcast series showcases some of the most influential publishers in the industry in an easily consumable audio format,” commented Kevin Young, managing director of SkillSoft, EMEA. “It follows the successful July launch of our first free podcast series, which featured excerpts from ExecBlueprints; our 450-strong library of strategic insights, trends and initiatives, authored by some of the world’s most prominent business leaders.

Both podcast series are available for free subscription via the Books24x7 website – http://www.books24x7.com – or through the Apple iTunes Music Store. Each podcast can be manually or automatically downloaded to a laptop, iPod or other portable device. New Publisher 1-on-1 podcasts will be released every month until the end of 2006.
