Whether supporting our workforce on campus or in the field, SupportDesk allows us to reach them seamlessly

Maintaining security and compliance is becoming increasingly difficult as corporations and workforces decentralize. NetworkStreaming’s newest version of their remote desktop support appliance, SupportDesk 9.1, focuses on features that ease the burden of security and compliance in the support environment while also improving overall performance, integration and customization. In response to demand from customers, Version 9.1 also accommodates remote support for Mac.
“Complying with corporate governance mandates is still a top priority for today’s enterprise IT departments. To that end, accountability and audit-ability are critical components that must be built into products to support today’s environment,” said Matt Healey, Senior Research Analyst for IDC. “Product features, such as session recording, that ensure the ability to audit transactions are critical in today’s world of compliance and regulations.”
Version 9.1 of SupportDesk addresses these concerns with their new security and compliance features:
- An auditable log of session recordings that provide a record of all remote support sessions for ease of compliance with corporate and federal regulations.
- Enhanced configuration of administrator rights and user/user group permissions within the existing LDAP schema.
- API logging and reporting for extraction to custom reports and integration into help desk ticketing systems.
Additional features include logging and recording functions that allow creation of a database for staff training, enhanced ability to personalize help session logos, corporate messaging and branding, and the ability to customize questions on the customer satisfaction on the survey at the end of the remote support session.
“Whether supporting our workforce on campus or in the field, SupportDesk allows us to reach them seamlessly,” said David Liddle, Customer Support Team Leader for Wycliffe International. “The additional configuration options, chat features, and support of the Mac OS in release 9.1 continue to make this an invaluable tool for us to have.”
The state of the art technology of NetworkStreaming’s latest version of SupportDesk offers on-demand connectivity to any client or remote worker in less than 10 seconds without the need for pre-installation or configuration of software on the remote computer. SupportDesk is the ultimate in security among the remote support solutions on the market.
