Portland, ME (PRWEB) October 12, 2006
A pioneering developer of identity-theft prevention technology has partnered with one of North America’s largest business solution providers to take industry-leading identity theft-prevention software to the next level: Today Identity Cops Inc. announced an agreement with xwave, a Division of Bell Aliant (TSX: BA.UN), to develop and deploy a scalable web-services solution that enables clients to quickly and easily custom-brand the Privacy ProBotTM solution.
Privacy ProBot is an electronic protection, prevention, and remediation system; it enables users to carry out real-time, 24/7 searches of hundreds of thousands of data sources to locate personal information about individuals that may indicate identity theft or other privacy invasion. Under the agreement, xwave is developing the application that will efficiently speed up the implementation of the solution using a combination of distributed architecture, Microsoft .NET web services, and Cascading Style Sheets. As a result Identity Cops will be able to quickly engage clients such as financial institutions and insurance companies by allowing them to tailor Privacy ProBot and thus offer their own clients a custom service.
“The teaming of Identity Cops with xwave will increase the features and functionality of our technology,” stated Rebecca Weinstein, President, Identity Cops. “We’ll gain scalability and reduce touch points, allowing us to concentrate on customer needs. We will be able to rapidly expand simply by adding hardware, so that the technology will have no bounds. This is essential, as we work with large corporate clients such as banks and universities, which grow and change frequently.”
“xwave’s experience in web services and systems integration make it a logical choice for this initiative,” said BJ Carter, Regional Director, xwave. “Our consultants and engineers continually demonstrate the ability to deliver client-focused solutions that exceed expectations. We’re pleased to help transform this advanced technology into a scalable solution that will allow Identity Cops to achieve its strategic and market objectives.”
“Our technology has been around and evolving for several years,” said Justin Page, creator of Privacy ProBot and Chief Technology Officer, Identity Cops. “We were the first to develop this technology, and we remain one of the industry leaders, offering services our competitors can’t duplicate.” He added, “With xwave’s support, we are achieving a core objective of having the distribution of our solution free of human touch points. What xwave has delivered—the technical competence the firm has shown—has exceeded our expectations.
