(PRWEB) October 14, 2006 -- The UK’s leading online craft community, Make! (www.makemag.co.uk) is offering visitors to its site the chance to win a unique prize of a complete ecommerce store. The prize will have everything needed to run an online store, including a professionally designed web store template, shopping cart, content management system, and hosting/subscription for 12 months.
The competition, which will run on the site from October the 17th, is an extra incentive for the many hundreds of crafters on the Make! site who want to sell their own crafts online. A recent visitor survey has shown that 94% of Make! members want to sell their crafts, and the vast majority use the internet on a daily basis.

Since launching in March, the Make! website has seen monthly increases in traffic and visitor numbers and now has over 10,000 people in its community. Visitors have access to a wealth of crafting information, including a directory of suppliers, craft showcase, projects, reviews and a lively chat forum.

Additionally, Make! has pioneered the use of digital media in the UK craft community, with a free downloadable craft magazine, available from the site.

Lynda Burgess, Make’s editor in chief, says “This is a great prize and we are sure to have a lot of interest. Over the past few months we have had hundreds of enquiries from members, asking for help in building sites, and wanting to join the thousands of crafters online in selling their wares. As the fastest growing online craft community, we are pleased to be at the forefront of driving growth in the market.”

The site will be provided by Easishop http://www.easishop.com, whose managing director, David Acton, says “We’re delighted to be working with Make! in providing a really exciting competition prize whilst demonstrating the simplicity and benefits of internet trading to crafters.”

Make! will also give the lucky winner a £100 in marketing credits to be used promoting the store on makemag.co.uk.
