Louisville, KY (PRWEB) October 13, 2006 -- Adam Robinson will be hosting a free community Bully Buster seminar at Martial Arts and More on Saturday, October 21st at 1 PM. This hour and a half seminar will educate parents and children about the root causes of bullying and how to handle a bully using conflict resolution skills.

“It seems that it is becoming routine for the media to report about bullying issues or school violence,” states Robinson. Educators, parents, school administrators, counselors, and community leaders are all concerned about this urgent problem and are looking for solutions.

The Bully Buster program is a non-violent approach to bullying that seeks to end the problem through peace education. The program combines principles from psychology, education, and martial arts that teaches children how to resolve conflicts before they begin! Participants in Bully Buster seminars learn how to deescalate verbal abuse by using conflict resolution skills -- not punching and kicking.

“While it’s the violent bullying that makes the headlines, the vast majority of bullying comes in the form of verbal bullying,” claims Robinson. “Verbal bullying doesn’t hurt physically, but it can have deeper consequences such as low self-esteem and poor self-image.”

Robinson believes that learning how to deal with a bully is a skill just like reading or writing. His simple step by step approach makes learning fun and easy for students of all ages. In addition to hosting Bully Buster seminars and programs at his facility, Mr. Robinson also conducts seminars for local schools. For more information please visit http://www.martialartsandmore.net.
