San Marino, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2006
The Munger Center at Huntington Library has awarded the storage solution contract of their rare book and manuscript collections to McMurray Stern, the exclusive Spacesaver Area Contractor for the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Founded in 1919 as a private, nonprofit institution, today the Huntington Library holds about five million rare books and manuscripts in their private collection, and solidifies them as one of the largest and most complete research libraries in the United States. The preservation and proper storage of these rare textbooks will be assured as the library's Munger Center will be utilizing several Spacesaver high-density systems.
"Collection care requires knowledge of rare textbook storage. With a Spacesaver system, our client is not only assured their books and manuscripts are stored safely, but they are investing in a system that will grow as their collection requirements increase." Voiced Leslie McDonald, McMurray Stern Director of Marketing. "We look at each project as a unique application where we are able to draw on our 26 years of experience in specialized storage system design. That's where McMurray Stern truly stands out among other high-density system providers."
