HBCU Alumni Give Back and Bowl for Kids' Sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and The HBCU Network are partnering to host The HBCU Network Bowl for Kids’ Sake Challenge, featuring emcee Doug Stewart of 2 Live Stews and 790 the Zone, on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 300 Atlanta AMF Lanes from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m

Atlanta, GA. (PRWEB) October 15, 2006 -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) and The HBCU Network are partnering to host The HBCU Network Bowl for Kids’ Sake Challenge, featuring emcee Doug Stewart of 2 Live Stews and 790 the Zone, on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 300 Atlanta AMF Lanes from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“This event offers college organizations, sororities, fraternities and other social groups the chance to participate in friendly competition, socialize, network, and join forces with other groups,” said Nicole Fryer, Director of Technology for The HBCU Network. “More importantly, it gives participants the opportunity to help BBBS provide meaningful one-to-one friendships between children and caring, well-trained volunteers.”

Registration is open to alumni associations, Greek organizations, offices and other groups. All teams must consist of six (6) bowlers and each team will raise a minimum of $2500. Proceeds will benefit BBBS of Metro Atlanta and support its mission to create magic in the lives of hundreds of children.

“Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the agency’s 2nd largest fundraiser. With the participation of HBCU alumni and other groups we hope the raise over $50,000,” said Stephanie Nelson of BBBS of Metro Atlanta. “For bowlers and sponsors, the greatest satisfaction comes from knowing they're helping kids in their community!”
