Machesney Park, IL (PRWEB) October 16, 2006
On Monday, October 23, 2006, Physicians Immediate Care-Chicago Loop (http://www.physiciansimmediatecare.com/locations/IL/chicago_west-loop.html) will open at 600 W. Adams Street in downtown Chicago. This latest clinic in the Physicians Immediate Care chain of centers advertises to residents of the Chicago Loop district that they now have access to their motto: “Medical Care on Your Schedule.”
The clinic will offer evaluation and treatment for conditions that are not true emergencies--such as flus, colds, sinus infections, pink eye, aches, sprains, strains, simple fractures, lacerations and other non-emergency conditions that need timely care.
The new walk-in clinic is located in the heart of the Loop, just two blocks from Union Station. Hours of service are:
In cooperation with Practice Velocity Urgent Care Solutions (http://www.practicevelocity.com), patients will be able to pre-register online for the next available time in the clinic. Patients simply click on the ZipPass logo, choose a time, and then print a ZipPass for the next available same-day appointment. This allows the public to take the convenience of a walk-in clinic to the next level; instead of entering the clinic to sign in and wait, patients can sign in online and enter the clinic at the head of the line. ZipPass, "Get in line--online," is the next revolution in the convenient access to medical care.
Physicians Immediate Care, also, provides convenient access for businesses and employees to occupational medicine services (http://www.physiciansimmediatecare.com/occupational_med/workers_compensation.html)--including drug screening, post-offer physical exams, Department of Transportation physical exams, and treatment for workplace injuries covered under workers compensation—all with no appointment necessary. The West Adams Street clinic includes exam and trauma rooms, x-ray, minor labs, street/wheelchair access and physical therapy services.
Physicians Immediate Care (http://www.physiciansimmediatecare.com) operates nine convenient care clinics in Illinois (Chicago Loop, Chicago NW, Joliet, Belvidere, Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park) and Oklahoma (Bartlesville). All clinics see patients during all open hours for unscheduled visits on a walk-in basis. This type of clinic has traditionally been called an “urgent care center,” but these centers are not designed to treat emergency conditions. (Note: Illinois has a unique law banning the term "urgent care center," as it is used in the rest of the USA) As is true with traditional urgent care centers, all Physicians Immediate Care clinics are designed for treating patients after hours and on weekends or when a timely appointment with a personal physician can not be obtained.
