Dustin Ward, a traditional Country Artist, Songwriter and Performer with a “unique rich sound” was born in Tulsa, OK and raised in the suburbs. Jerry Duncan Promotions has recommended Dustin get a Label behind him or perhaps Investors. Garth Fundis of the Sound Emporium and Top Producer of acts such as John Michael Montgomery and Keith Whitley said in an email that “Dustin sounds really, really good”. He has also met and recorded for some of Nashville’s best Songwriters. Dustin recently received some songs from Robert Jason (Alabama’s, She Ain’t Your Ordinary Girl) and Billy and Chip Davis who have songs with Reba McEntire and Joe Diffie. Billy and Chip are also singing extraordinary back-up on his 5-song self titled CD “Dustin Ward”.
Dustin was just accepted as a performer at the Oklahoma Opry in Oklahoma City, OK.
He will make his debut appearance at the theatre on October 28, 2006. He is also promoting his 5 song CD mastered demo produced by Billy Davis (Jack Russell Records). Billy has a long list of credits including singing backup for the great Trace Adkins and other artists. Billy was able to obtain top players in Dustin’s session; Brent Mason, Eddie Bayers, and Mike Johnson. Dustin’s website and discography are at http://www.dustinward.net. DJ Dixie Vornbrock has shown interest in playing Dustin’s single release “Somebody’s Gonna Get Hurt” on her radio show “Future Legends of Country” in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, US, and Canada. Details are being worked out with TSP Country Radio and Triplestrand Productions, so look for him on the Indie charts.
A few years back Dustin caught the attention of Industry and Label veteran Bill Mayne (903 Music, Darrell Worley and Neil McCoy) but Mayne and Dustin were unable to sign a deal. At the time Mayne was closing Mayne Entertainment and helping launch and manage Neil McCoy and 903 Music. Recently Dustin’s been spending time looking for song’s and making industry connections and is listed in the TulsaMusic Scene.com and starting to emerge locally as a great country singer. In the late nineties he was also given the opportunity to write and perform a radio jingle for GMC Trucks which he played over the air live. So sit back and listen to some real country music that takes us back to simplicity with an up-beat modern edge of flare and style.
