Greeting cards are about to take on a whole new meaning, thanks to Houston-based AngelTalk Video Greetings. Combining a traditional greeting card with a DVD, these new-concept themed greeting cards will have a long-lasting impact and shelf life, according to founders Angie and Tim Smith.
Available online at http://www.angeltalk.com and at two Houston-area bookstores (New Creation Christian Bookstore in Pasadena and Antique & Craft Mall of Pasadena), the AngelTalk video greetings line features Biblical scriptures complemented with picturesque video images and original music scores. This one of a kind, unique collection, includes 12 themes from major life events, such as “Wedding,” “Baby,” “On Your Birthday” and “Birthday Blessings,” as well as “Healing,” “Encouragement,” “Sympathy,” “Thank You,” “Friendship,” “God’s Love,” “God’s Forgiveness” and “Fear Not.”
The 13-20 minute AngelTalk Video Greeting DVDs can be watched while the original music is playing in the background or with a voiceover that reads the messages over the background music. Priced at $12.99 in stores or $13.99 online over the Internet, the cards make a unique meaningful gift.
“We believe the video, music and greeting card are a unique way to share God’s word,” says Tim Smith, president of Epic Digital Productions, LLC, parent company of AngelTalk. “By providing the very scriptures that answer specific needs, we’re hopeful the recipients of these cards will find great comfort in the messages, while enjoying the peaceful music and stunning visuals.”
In addition to providing a positive message of hope, these unique video greeting cards also have a longer shelf-life than traditional greeting cards, which are often read and appreciated but then tossed out. “Based on our test-market research, we find that people enjoy the music and visuals so much, they play the DVD over and over,” says Angie.
The husband-wife team originally dreamed the concept in 2004 and began seriously pursuing the idea in 2005. Working with talents such as Grammy and Emmy award-winning song writer and composer Rex Kramer and world-renowned photographer Elan Sun Star, the DVDs are highly professional and polished. In addition to the first 12 cards, the owners also are planning a “Salvation” card that will be available primarily through churches.
“We desire to deliver God’s truth in a positive, pleasing way,” explains Tim. “Our prayer is that these video greetings impact lives.”
Headquartered in Houston, Epic Digital Productions, LLC, was established in 2005 and serves as the parent company of AngelTalk Video Greetings. The 12-line card series is now available at select retail stores for $12.99 or online at http://www.angeltalk.com for $13.99.
