Mammoth Networks Expands into Minnesota, North Dakota

Mammoth Networks has completed installation of fiber and equipment in North Dakota, enabling its customers to expand their coverage area. The company is also finalizing installation in Minnesota. Service Providers using Mammoth for wholesale telecommunications services will benefit from service in 91 additional communities.

Gillette, WY (PRWEB) October 18, 2006 -- Mammoth Networks has completed installation of fiber and equipment in North Dakota, expanding the company's DSL and private-line coverage to the Eastern half of the state. Mammoth will also complete installation in Central and Northwestern Minnesota by month's end. As a result of the expansion, Mammoth's wholesale Partners gain coverage in 91 additional communities.

Mammoth aggregates DSL, ATM, Frame Relay, and private-line telecommunications services in 737 cities throughout eleven Western states. The company wholesales these services to Service Providers who sell data connectivity to their End Users, affording the Service Provider control over the End User's data and Internet experience. Service Providers can leverage Mammoth's network for the creation of private networks across the company's coverage area.

"We've committed ourselves to expanding coverage area and product offerings to benefit our Partners," says Brian Worthen, who oversees product development at Mammoth. "Our success is a result of our Partner's success - expanded coverage improves success for all."

Mammoth allows its customers (termed Partners by the company) to connect telecommunications loops to the company's private network. Partners with connectivity to Mammoth's network can justify expanding their coverage area and service End Users more effectively. Without a wholesale option, Service Providers must order their own circuits, then build out a network to support their End Users. The cost of building out a private network hinders Service Providers from offering DSL and other services outside their primary coverage area.

Mammoth prides itself on providing the middle piece of the telecom puzzle. The company's Partners control the End User's data loop with Mammoth transporting that data to the Partner's Internet feed. Mammoth doesn't require the data loop to be contracted with them, enabling the Partner to control the experience of their End User on both ends of the connection.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services serving ten Western states. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Service Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
