Industry Report Highlights Fuel Cost and Consumption Challenges Affecting Fleet Executives

Share Article

With skyrocketing fuel prices, supply chain concerns, new hardware specifications, compliance regulations and endlessly evolving technologies, the current climate can be daunting for fleet executives responsible for fueling their vehicles according to a recent survey by eyefortransport.

The “Fuel Management for Fleets” survey collated the responses of more than 100 senior fleet executives from leading trucking and delivery fleets and private fleets within multinational manufacturers and retailers.

The analysis report shows that around half of the survey respondents ranked “rising fuel costs” as one of the greatest challenges facing their fleets. Training drivers in the use of fuel conserving technology and performance-enhancing driving techniques also ranks highly, and there are suggestions that there have been marked increases in technology implementation to reduce running fuel costs.

At the Effective Fuel Management for Fleets Conference, Miami, February 20-21, 2007, these findings and related topics will be examined, focusing on comprehensive long-term strategies and best practice approaches for fleet executives responsible for purchasing and managing fuel.
