Autism Society of America honors Metin as their 2006 Official Artist of the U.S. Postal Stamp of Autism Society of America. Five of Metin’s paintings: “Freedom”, “Diversity”, “Jollification”, “God Bless America”, and “Reaching Out” are featured from his collection.

The Autism Society of America was founded in 1965 by Bernard Rimland, Ph.D. His book, Infantile Autism: The Syndrome and Its Implications for a Neural Theory of Behavior, was written in late 1964 and was one of the first of its kind. In 1968, Dr. Ruth Sullivan, the visionary founder, became the organization's first elected president.

Lee Grossman is the President and CEO and the Board, chaired by Cathy Pratt, Ph.D., serves as the governing body and the vision for the Society's future. Autism is a complex developmental disability; a spectrum disorder that affects 1.5 million children and adults in America.

A painter, an artist, and humanitarian -- a lover of children’s causes and life! Metin’s contemporary works have been featured in Sotheby’s of London, Peterson Automotive Museum, Pacific Design Center, Exposition Park, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures and more. His art work can be seen on TV shows: “Becker”, “Donald Trump’s: The Apprentice”, “Poseidon”, “Gilmore Girls”, “ER”, “Seventh Heaven”, “Friends” and more.
