GameFly, the leading online video game rental service launched a marketing partnership with Kellogg Company in which consumers will be offered a 30-day free GameFly membership via an on-pack promotion on 30 million Kellogg cereal boxes including Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Frosted Mini-Wheats and Smorz.

“We are excited to partner with Kellogg’s, one of the most recognized brands in the consumer packaged goods industry,” said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and senior vice president, business development and content. “The box placement is a great way to communicate the benefits of our service since kids spend time at their breakfast table each morning.”

Capitalizing on the holiday season and the launch of two highly-anticipated next-generation video game platforms, the partnership will help both companies reach their crucial audiences — gamers and their families.

Dave Hodess, GameFly chief executive officer, added, “We believe that Kellogg’s customers will be very excited to receive an extended GameFly trial that will give them access to games on all the major platforms.”

The promotion launches October 1 and continues through December 31. To redeem the free trial, consumers will need to mail in two cereal box tops in return for a redemption code that is valid on until January 2008.
