Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 24, 2006
LASIK expert Dr. James Salz (http://www.drsalz.com) was interviewed by National Public Radio (NPR) segment entitled "Dr. Slava Fyodorov's 'Beautiful Eyes'," a Russian doctor who invented the radial keratotomy procedure, which was the precursor to laser vision eye surgery. In the segment Dr. Salz describes the laser vision radial keratotomy surgery. Later, Dr. Salz answered emails sent to NPR from its listeners about both radial keratotomy eye and laser eye surgery procedures which were posted in the "Your Health" section of the NPR website.
In his answers, Dr. James Salz indicated that people who had radial keratotomy were often good candidates for PRK (photorefractive keratotomy), compared the differences between PRK and LASIK, what at what age LASIK should typically be done, as well as other questions concerning the safety of the procedures.
