Nineteen eBooks From One of The Country’s Most Visible And Respected Alternative Presses Are Now Lining The Virtual Shelves of The DPPstore

Soft Skull Press, Inc. is now distributing books through the DPPstore where eBooks can be purchased and downloaded 24/7/365.

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) October 26, 2006 -- DPPpress (www.dpppress.com) and DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), an eBook publishing and distribution company, are continuing to grow their online bookstore.

New authors, independent publishers, and small presses are contracting with DPP daily, helping to create a bookstore that offers an eclectic array of literary offerings.

The DPPstore (www.dppstore.com) opened its virtual doors in January of this year with seven titles. It now has over five hundred eBook offerings, nineteen of which just made their way onto the store's eShelves this week.

"Thoughtful, critical, committed to expounding an openly manifold perspective toward all modern life, these and other releases by Soft Skull endorse a new, enlightened way of looking at society," says the Willamette Week.

Located in Brooklyn, New York, Soft Skull offers a variety of genres. History, politics, fiction, erotica, biography, gay/lesbian, poetry, art, graphics, comics and more. The Willamette Weekly adds, "Harsh politics and inspired fiction aside, in a nation that starves for real reality, Soft Skull Press has solidly grounded, daringly provocative food for the brain."

Quill & Quire (of Canada) have dubbed Soft Skull "One of the most visible and respected alternative houses in the US...like Grove Press in the 1950's and 1960's." Grove published French avant-garde of the era, the American Beats of the 1950s. The Press also published Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot after it was refused by more mainstream publishers – it turned bestseller.

"We are thrilled to be offering Soft Skull publications in the DPPstore," says DPP C.E.O. Genene Miller Coté. "And we're excited to offer our readers an opportunity to delve into some excellent literature - and to offer Soft Skull books as eBooks for the very first time."

The DPPstore offers eBooks from first-time authors to well-established experts. There is definitely something for everyone. Titles that were once only available in traditional print, and eBook titles that once upon a time were not as readily accessible, are now available through DPPpress (www.dpppress.com) at the DPPstore.

The store offers some free titles and all books are priced to suit everyone's budget. Frequent buyers can reap the benefits of the Store's rewards program.

The DPPstore (www.dppstore.com), a division of DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), offers the best in eBooks from new authors and independent presses. Our eBooks are downloadable on an assortment of readers. The DPPstore – reinventing reading.
