geoVue, a leading location intelligence software provider, is pleased to announce the launch of iSite 2006. iSite 2006 is the latest version of geoVue's flagship site selection and trade area analysis solution. This release includes numerous software and data enhancements that will simplify and improve both client productivity and analytic capability.
On the software side, iSITE 2006 incorporates two key enhancements that will appeal to all iSITE clients. The first is a trade area conversion tool that will automatically convert any ring, drive time or hand drawn trade area to a set of standard geographic boundaries such as census block groups or zip codes. The second is a data conversion utility that will read and write data to and from most standard formats including ESRI shape files, comma separated text files (CSV), MapInfo files (MID/MIF) and even SQL Server databases. Incorporating external datasets and sharing iSITE data with others has never been easier.
In terms of content, iSITE 2006 includes the latest demographic and geographic data from our various partners. In addition, there are two key data enhancements that are unique to this release. The first is an update to the drive time database, which includes many new streets and highways for more accurate drive time boundaries, especially in high growth areas. In addition, iSite 2006 will now include a map layer containing over 5,500 U.S. shopping centers assembled from a range of public sources, at no additional cost. While the map layer is not intended to replace the former NRB Database, it does include more than 1,300 parcel footprints, direct links to many shopping centers' web sites, and actual site plans for over 100 locations.
iSITE 2006 also includes the following:
· Updated Maptitude Version 4.8 (opens Maptitude maps in ArcMap from ESRI and writes directly to Microsoft Excel.)
· Seamless Import/Export of Sites/Trade Areas (Instantly exports both sites and trade areas directly into marketVue portal.)
· Linking Custom Trade Areas to Sites (Allows users to associate a site with a user-defined trade area boundary.
