Proxima Technology European Centauri User Forum 2006 Brings World’s Major Systems Integrators, Enterprise Clients and Prospects Together

More than 75 delegates shared Proven successes, learned new ideas, and grew the Centauri user community.

Proxima Technology, an innovative software vendor providing business service management (BSM) and service level management (SLM) solutions, announced that during Proxima Technology's Annual European Centauri User Forum held on October 18th 2006, over 75 partners and customers networked, shared experiences and learned new ways to leverage the Centauri product. Delegates from major systems integrators and world's biggest names in Finance, Telecommunications, Government among many others came together and discussed Centauri's proven successes and future.

The day kicked off with guest speaker Dan Berg, Sun Microsystems' CTO Global Sales and Services, and VP of EMEA Systems Engineer from Sun Microsystems – providing thought provoking themes that are driving the services business and concludes with the concept of "IT as a Service." Some of the trends and emphasis by Dan Berg included communities as social software builders, telemetry enabled innovation, standard software builders operated by partners and changes in software economics in trust models with suppliers.

Tying in with the theme of "Partnering for Success", presentations from major systems integrators and their enterprise clients also provided their views on how they see the benefits and value for their respective businesses. 10 client and partner case studies were presented; Proxima Technology presentations included:

  • Centauri v4.0 Business Service Dashboard Designer by Sr. Consultant, Alex Napier
  • Centauri v4.1 and roadmap by Product Manager, Bryce Dunn
