Martin Pettesch Elected to Board of Petroleum Equipment Institute

Martin Pettesch, executive vice president of Universal Valve Company, Inc., was elected by the membership to serve a two-year term on the board of directors of the Petroleum Equipment Institute.

Martin Pettesch, executive vice president of Universal Valve Company, Inc., Elizabeth, New Jersey, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Equipment Institute. Pettesch was installed during the organization's 56th annual convention and trade show held recently in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Universal Valve is a global supplier of service station equipment, manufacturing a full line of service station valves, fittings, manholes, and signage.

Pettesch has been with the organization for over 20 years. His past positions within Universal Valve include Design Engineer, Operations Manager, Manager of Engineering, Vice President of Engineering. A graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology for Mechanical Engineering and the University of Phoenix MBA Program, Pettesch recently received the honor of New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame Special Award for outstanding young inventor.

Pettesch and his wife Patricia have a son, Michael, and reside in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

PEI is the international trade association for distributors, manufacturers and installers of equipment used in petroleum marketing and liquid-handling operations. Users of the equipment include service station and convenience store owners, terminals, bulk plants and airport refueling operations.

PEI is comprised of more than 1,700 companies engaged in the manufacture and distribution of equipment used in petroleum marketing operations. Members are located in 50 states and 81 countries. The Institute's headquarters are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
