Mother and daughter team up to start unique online business to design and create handmade beaded jewelry. Their special awareness bracelets fill a much needed void for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers, and as well as for people suffering from other debilitating illnesses

Girlie Girls Jewelry Studio (http://www.girliegirlsjewelrystudio.com), a mother and daughter handmade beaded jewerly venture that specalizes in designing a unique line of Awareness Bracelets by using "healing stones," has recently announced the launch of their website. Healing stones are commonly used to give a ray of hope to those dealing with stressful conditions such as Chronic Fatique Syndrome (CFS).

The designers, Barbara and Kristy Romero, know first hand about stressful conditions. At age 14, Kristy was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Because CFS is a complex and debilitating chronic illness that affects the brain and multiple body systems, Kristy became a home-schooled student and the computer became her best friend. During this time Kristy learned web design while her mother Barbara, an architerctural designer, searched for handmade beaded jewelry "awareness" braclets. Unable to find one for CFS, she decided to take her hobby of jewelry making to the next level and sharpen her skills with classes on jewelry design and fabrication. The results of this combination of efforts was Girle Girls Jewelry Studio.

Girlie Girls Jewelry Studio now designs meaningful awareness bracelets for CFS as well as other debilitating illnesses.

Says Barbara Romero: "We are giving CFS sufferers and their families a unique and special way to acknowledge their illness and a ray of hope of feeling better by wearing the "Healing Stones" bracelet and the Sodalite bracelet. We also donate a portion of the proceeds to help find a cure."

At present no one knows what causes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It is more common in women than in men and rarer yet in children and adolescents like Kristy.

Kim Rogers (A CFS sufferer) wrote: "I am writing to let you know that the jewelry you see online is nothing compared to the beauty of the real thing. I, being a CFIDS sufferer, was so glad to see a bracelet that represented me and what I had been through and continue to go through. I applaud Kristy and her mom for starting this wonderful, endeavor especially in light of the fact that Kristy is a CFIDS sufferer herself. Since my purchase, the Girlie Girls have grown to represent so many other things that heighten awareness for people on a personal level, the ones that are suffering and allows others the opportunity to purchase and support their pain."
