Bodog Music Makes its College Music Journal Premier in New York City

Online gaming giant Bodog.com's music label, Bodog Music, makes its College Music Journal premier in New York City with the Bodog girls and Bif Naked.

October 25, 2006 - Bodog Music is bringing its unique and powerful brand of entertainment to the CMJ masses, and doing so in a way music marathon-goers have never experienced. From October 1-November 4, Bodog Music will have a huge interactive presence, hosting a luxury lounge in Lincoln Center, a label Showcase Extravaganza at Crash Mansion, and several spots on this year's highly anticipated panels.

Great music, beautiful women, video games, and free stuff...is this heaven? Maybe, but it's also The Bodog Music Lounge at the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon. The Lincoln Center lounge is set to be the hub for all Bodog Music events at the five-day music marathon. Along with taking in the sights and sounds that the label has to offer with streaming music and music videos, people can learn about The Bodog $1-Million Dollar Battle of the Bands - the search for the best Indie band in America. The battle is happening now in 17 markets with the finale set to be nationally televised in an 11-episode of a reality TV show.

Attendees can also hang out with the sexy Bodog Girls, including this month's Bodog Beauty, Meghan http://www.bodognation.com/bodoggirls/ of the popular online video game MoundCharger, http://moundcharger.com/. Meghan will be on the mound to show how the game works and to hand out personal Moundcharger baseball cards. CMJ crowds can also hop on our couches and demo the brand new Sierra Project "Scarface: The World Is Yours" video game with the chance of taking it home thanks to a raffle that will also include tons of Bodog Music merchandise, including: CD samplers, bottle openers, condoms, and swag from Scarface and BodogFight - the mixed martial arts reality show sweeping the nation.

On Wednesday, November 1 at Crash Mansion, in the Bowery's hottest nightspot, Bodog Music is throwing a wicked party. Recording artists will hit the stage to bring audiences a killer live show hosted by Bif Naked. The night will begin at 7 pm and is free for all CMJ badge-holders and boasts an open bar for VIP's. Five of the label's premier acts are set to take the stage:

On Thursday November 2, Bodog Music label representatives take on several panels; speaking on topics like street team promotion, starting a label, and making a music video with no money. US label manager Jonny Z will sit on the panel "starting a Record Label 101": A how-to guide on starting a record label, including a realistic look at the pros and cons. Panelists will share their success stories and advice on how to avoid common mistakes, raise funding, sign artists, build the right team of staffers, and get a distribution deal. Also on this panel are Martin Folkman (Founder, Music Resource Group/Independent Music Awards) Brian Hetherman (Founder Curve Music and Cerberus Artist Management) Sonny Kay (Founder/Co-Owner, Gold Standard Labs) Marcus "DL" Siskind (CEO Mass Appeal Entertainment) and Jim Young (Sales Manager Disc Makers). The Making Great Music Videos on a Tight Budget panel will feature the head of Bodog Music's Media Relations, Rikki Zazula along with Jeremy Peters (Head of Licensing, Publishing and Video Promotion, Ghostly International/Spectral Sound), Adam Green (singer /songwriter/Rough Trade recording artist) Cathy Pellow (owner, Refused TV/Sargent House) Ryan Rickett (music video director). It is a practical guide for people who want star-quality music videos with limited funds. It will be held at 1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 1972 Broadway, New York City.

The How to Successfully Build and Manage Fan Clubs and Street Teams Panel boasts an appearance by Marc Namm, Bodog Music's Head of Viral and Internet Marketing. This panel will explain promotion from organic groups to complex networks, teach how to organize a fan club or grass-roots crew that will increase recognition, popularity, and profits. The discussion will also focus on innovative ways to recruit new members and create unique promotions and events.
