InterAct Announces Third Quarter Sales Record

InterAct Public Safety Systems achieves record sales in third quarter of 2006. Year-to-Date Revenues show 15% increase over 2005.

Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) October 30, 2006 -- InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of public safety and homeland security technology solutions used by local, state, national, and international agencies, today announced that the third quarter of 2006 was the best in company history surpassing $11.3 million in new contracts during the three month period. The success of this quarter puts the year to date total 15% over revenues from the same period of 2005. An increase in new customers as well as upgrades and add-ons to existing customer systems contributed to te achievement.

Some key wins that were instrumental in InterAct's third quarter success includes new customers in both the public and private sector:

  • The U.S. Department of Interior
  • Dekalb County, GA, serving metro regions of Atlanta, the nation's 8th largest metropolitan market; two universities; and two colleges
  • The Command & Control Center at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago
  • Matanuska-Susitna County, Alaska, InterAct's first customer in this state.

Demand for public safety and homeland security systems continues to grow with IT spending of State and Local Agencies projected to reach $90.9 billion in 2007, and Federal IT spending projected at $64 billion in the same time period, according to a recent study by the Center for Digital Government.

"Public safety is also reaching beyond the traditional definition of 9-1-1" said Andrew J "Flip" Filipowski, chairman and CEO of InterAct Public Safety Systems. "Companies with large campuses and geographically disperse offices are finding that they need robust incident command systems to protect their employees and customers. We've been seeing a lot of interest in the combination of our entire suite from CAD and GIS, to Records Management, to digital video surveillance and emergency notification systems for use in the private sector in addition to our stronghold in the public sector."
