A New Portal to Learn About the catalan associationism and volunteerism Movement

On Saturday 28th October, the Benestar i familia department (well-being and family) of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Iwith.org, will present "Civil Society", the new area of xarxanet.org, the catalan network of associations and volunteers.

(PRWEB) October 28, 2006 -- With this new area of xarxanet.org, learning about the activities of the catalan associacionism and volunteerism movement will be made easier, and the information and resources offered by this sector at the international level will be put at your disposal. Civil society is available in English, French, Catalan and Spanish.

The presentation will take place on the occasion of the celebration in Barcelona of the European Volunteer Centre's General Assembly, an organization regrouping the volunteer movements from 22 European countries. It will be hosted in Catalonia by the Catalan Federation of Social Volunteerism, Barcelona Voluntaria and the Benestar i Família Departament of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The inauguration will pave the way for the creation in xarxanet.org of a space for implementation of the agreements made by the Generalitat and Iwith.org with CEV and IAVE to share and publish relevant information at the international level.

This new tool will promote links and synergies between the catalan associacionism and volunteerism movement and organizations worldwide.

Civil society is the channel to learn about solidarity and commitment in Catalonia and access it with information on your activities.
