Guelph, Ontario (PRWEB) October 31, 2006
GOKW.org, a grassroots community website dedicated to promoting commuter rail transit options in the Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Halton Hills regions have published candidates responses to a survey discussing commuter transit options.
An overwhelming majority of respondents agree that the region is vastly under-serviced when it comes to commuter transit, and solving this problem is one of their top priorities. Most respondents also look to GO transit as the most likely provider of the solution, but alternatives are mentioned.
Candidates also discussed a wide range of commuter solutions, including the Region of Waterloo's proposed Light Rail Transit system, commuter bus options, and integration of local public transit systems.
Voters can find the survey responses for their candidates and use the information to help decide how their vote will be cast on municipal election day, November 13, 2006.

GOKW.org is a grass-roots community website that is not affiliated with any other organisation, including GO Transit. It exists to push the economic and environmental concerns associated with the long, punishing road-based commute caused by the lack of viable mass transit alternatives for the Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and Cambridge region.
