imeem launches official social media community for CMJ Music Marathon bringing together user-generated content and mobile messaging.

imeem, an online network for social media, announced today that it is teaming with CMJ, the industry authority on new music and music industry reports, to launch the official social media site for the CMJ Music Marathon – a week-long music fan and industry festival, featuring live music showcases with up and coming artists, being held at the Lincoln Center and other supporting venues in New York City from October 31 through November 4, 2006.

During and after 2006 CMJ Music Marathon, artists and music fans can take backstage and live show photos and videos and share them online with others at http://cmj.imeem.com . While some will be conducting interviews with artists and band members, fans, concert-goers and artists are all invited to share their own personal photos, videos, and blogs from the week-long music festival in the heart of New York City.

In addition, imeem and CMJ are bringing users the "on-the-go" mobile updates to fans and artists as they explore the many showcases, seminars, and parties during the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon.
