Internet Marketing Expert Larry Chase Releases His New Rules for Thought Leadership Marketing

Larry Chase publishes "13 Essentials for Thought Leadership Marketing" in his e-mail newsletter.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 1, 2006 –- Thirteen-year Internet marketing veteran and best-selling author Larry Chase has just released his 13 essentials for effective thought leadership marketing in his Web Digest For Marketers email newsletter (http://www.wdfm.com). In this Internet insider publication, Chase reviews the latest tools and resources for direct response and email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) plus proven strategies and tactics for Internet marketing professionals.

"Today, audiences are much more sophisticated than most advertisers give them credit for," says Chase. "To be a thought leader, you now need to put useful and relevant information in front of your target audiences. This is true whether they are b2b or b2c audiences."

In his newsletter, Chase delivers 13 essentials for thought leadership marketing. They include:

Essential #1
Take a Stand: Make a bold and newsworthy prediction that seems counter-intuitive to what common sense dictates. In 1993, I said the Internet was the next big thing in marketing. "It's too geeky," was the response from the naysayers. The press coverage I got was astonishing.

If you make bold projections, you should have a track record of being able to see around corners. You have to be right much more often than not to maintain credibility over the long term.

Essential #2
Start a Newsletter, RSS feed and/or Blog: Start a periodic publication online such as an email newsletter or publish your own blog (which can also help boost your rankings in search engines) for your product or service. When done right, there's no better way to spend your marketing money. Just make sure you have something meaningful to say each time you publish.

Essential #3
Be Vertically Famous: Chances are it isn't necessary for you to spend your money trying to become a recognizable brand name to everyone on the planet. Figure out which specific audience you wish to address repeatedly and consistently. If you have a tight fix on your target audience, you can send them more relevant messages. The more relevant your messages, the more likely your audience will respond.
