St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) November 1, 2006 -- Thinking Systems Corporation (www.thinkingsystems.com), recognized as one of the nation's most innovative medical imaging software developers and for its broad product portfolio that supports the spectrum of modalities, today announced the release of a new version of its flagship ThinkingPACS™ product that supports the new DICOM 3.0 2006 standard for color and grayscale presentation states, key objects and structured reporting.

ThinkingPACS™ is known for its comprehensive modality support with cutting-edge technologies, such as PET-CT and SPECT-CT fusion, mammography, nuclear cardiology processing and analysis, general nuclear medicine processing and review, cardiac PET analysis, PET brain analysis, 3D/MPR, calcium scoring, cardiac CTA, cardiac cath, echocardiography, general ultrasound, orthopedic templating, and connectivity to modalities, in addition to the conventional radiological CT, MR, and CR/DR imaging functionalities.

"Presentation states enable the user to preserve the information regarding how a study was viewed by a reader," said Xiaoyi Wang, president and co-chairman, Thinking Systems Corporation. "The saved state can be re-created by another reader with exact consistency. A key object is an object that was identified by a reader as an object of interest (such as key image)." Mr. Wang added, "With proper tools, key objects can be easily and quickly reviewed by other viewers. The support for the new DICOM 3.0 2006 standard for presentation states and key objects ensures that such information is preserved when studies are transferred and reviewed between systems that support the same DICOM 3.0 standard."
