Vegetarian Society to Hold 10th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner
The Vegetarian Society of New Mexico will hold its 10th annual Thanksgiving Feast at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 211 Jefferson NE.
(PRWEB) November 4, 2006 -- Tired of turkey? The Vegetarian Society of New Mexico will hold its 10th annual Thanksgiving Feast at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 211 Jefferson NE.
The society will provide a vegan "faux turkey" main dish and drinks of hot apple cider and vegan nog. Attendees should bring a vegan side dish or dessert to share. Vegan means containing no animal products, including eggs and dairy.
The event is free and open to the public but a $3 donation is suggested. Please RSVP by calling (505) 897-0670.
The Vegetarian Society of New Mexico advocates meatless diets for better health and to minimize animal suffering. The group also provides a forum for education and for vegetarians to meet at potluck meals, restaurant outings and special events.
