Former CEO of BT Entertainment Named Chairman of Crisp Thinking

Crisp Thinking, the UK-based on-line child protection technology company, has appointed Andrew Burke, former Chief Executive of BT Entertainment, as its new Chairman. Headed up by one of the UK's youngest and most successful entrepreneurs, Adam Hildreth, 21, Crisp Thinking has developed one of the safest Internet protection systems for young people, the Child Protection Gateway (CPG).

Leeds, England (PRWEB) November 5, 2006 -- Crisp Thinking, the UK-based on-line child protection technology company, has appointed Andrew Burke, former Chief Executive of BT Entertainment, as its new Chairman.

Headed up by one of the UK's youngest and most successful entrepreneurs, Adam Hildreth, 21, Crisp Thinking has developed one of the safest Internet protection systems for young people, the Child Protection Gateway (CPG).

Andrew Burke, who devised BT's TV-over-broadband initiative, is well-respected in the digital media and Internet sectors. As well as his career pioneering BT's digital strategy, he has been a Venture Capitalist and founded LineOne -- the Internet Service Provider (ISP) which eventually became Tiscali UK.

He brings exceptional experience and knowledge to Crisp Thinking, having been at the forefront of the industry for a number of years, including establishing News International's initial Internet presence in 1994. His appointment coincides with Crisp taking its CPG to market.

CPG offers Internet Service Providers (ISP), for the first time, to provide genuine child protection controls rather than through a downloadable client application. CPG has been designed to sit in an ISP network to protect children and teenagers when using the Internet. It acts as the gateway for the traffic from protected households providing a fully scalable child protection solution.

With the child protection components sitting at the network layer, not with the end user, CSP offers unrivaled levels of protection making it extremely hard for even a 'well-tuned' teenager to circumvent its network level controls.

CSP has been designed by Crisp CEO, Adam Hildreth, who was the UK's youngest managing director while he was still in his teens.

Having been part of the team that founded Dubit Limited (www.dubitlimited.com), the youth-orientated website and marketing consultancy, which offered under-18s a unique facility to buy-online, Adam established Crisp Thinking to provide protection solutions for children and young people using the Internet.

Andrew Burke said: "Crisp Thinking is a dynamic young company, which is delivering innovative solutions to a major issue in the Internet industry. Trust in the Internet is vital if it is to be used to its full potential. Delivering effective and safe child protection on line will go a long way to ensuring a greater amount of confidence in the net."

Adam Hildreth said: "Andrew will become a tremendous asset to Crisp Thinking as the company establishes itself as a major innovator of Internet child protection solutions. He has an enviable track record in the sector, which will benefit our relationships with key Internet Service Providers."
