Capella University Announces Charter School Sponsorship

Online university sponsors East Range Academy of Technology and Science.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 5, 2006 -- Capella University, an online university and leader in online education, today announced their sponsorship of the East Range Academy of Technology and Science (ERATS), a charter high school in Minnesota. Charter schools are K-12 public schools which operate independently from the school district in which they operate.

ERATS will provide a rigorous, personalized curriculum to high school students of all achievement levels to prepare them for post-secondary education or training. Opening in the fall of 2007, ERATS will assist students in becoming independent learners who are proficient in the use of 21st century technology, something needed for success in today's world. By offering a curriculum that focuses on science, technology and entrepreneurship, ERATS gives students on the Iron Range access to educational opportunities that most public schools don't offer in this area.
