Dr. George Bitar Named the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society "Man of The Year"

Representing the Lymphoma Society, Dr. Bitar appeared in a USA Today interview and had a guest appearance on NBC's soap opera "Days of Our Lives". Dr. Bitar can also be seen around Washington on a transit bus advertising campaign promoting the fight against blood cancer.

Dr. George Bitar obtained his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and served his general surgery residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. His plastic surgery residency was completed at the University of Virginia plastic surgery program. Dr. Bitar also completed a cosmetic and breast surgery fellowship at a prestigious cosmetic surgery center in the United States with ten other board certified plastic surgeons. After Dr. Bitar finished his cosmetic fellowship at the Charlotte Plastic Surgery Center, he participated in international cosmetic fellowships in Rio de Janeiro, Beverly Hills and Paris with some of the most prominent plastic surgeons in the world. He later established the Bitar Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Northern Virginia.
